New York, New York

Am now in New York, got here Monday the 30th and am staying in the NYU dorms at Lafayette.  New York is so much fun, and the job search is going fairly well here.  I have a couple of leads, possibly more in the future.  Am flying back to LA for an interview on Monday.  Now, instead of going neurotic about not having a job, I'm going neurotic about too many job options to choose from.  But I can't complain. 

Watched the 4th of July fireworks on FDR Drive yesterday, walked way too much...also went to the Whitney museum to see the new American Effects exhibit.  Fun stuff, that's another thing I love about New York, all the cultural stuff is really accessible.  And the food! All these options! And each part of the city is different and unique, there's endless options to explore, always something new. 

Am determined to spend an entire day at the Met soon, and also to watch the New York Philharmonic play in Central Park.  Plus, so many friends in the city to see!

Sigh, sometimes free will is a double edged sword.  I wish someone would just tell me what to do...

Update!

What I've been up to lately:

1.  Painted the bathroom.  It needed a little Trading Spaces-esque touch. 

2.  Drinking noxiously bitter Chinese herbal medicine in feeble attempt to improve my complexion.

3.  Planning to take a couple of MOUS exams...OPIM 101 revisited.

Ok, I don't get it...Friendster? How does it work? Am I just computer illiterate? And who are all these random people that are supposedly in my network? I sign in and boom, "Meet Luke! He's in your network now." Should I know Luke? Do I want to know Luke? And another thing, I'm thoroughly convinced that its a dangerous mechanism that plays with a person's self-esteem...It's great when you get another email that says "Vera is your friend!" But what about those poor people who don't have friends? Do they get emails that says "Vera is not your friend?" Maybe I just don't understand how to use it...me feeble leetle mind...

I know I haven't updated in quite a while, mostly because I haven't had anything to say...but, I'm watching the MTV Movies awards and who is the first presenter on stage? My hottie Hugh Jackman...except he's not such a hottie with girl hair! HELLO!?!?! It's a travesty against manhood...a travesty!
